Why Organic Living Soil?
Typical soil products are light and airy, but also biologically inert. Our soil blends are based on compost that is filled with the living, breathing microorganisms plants need to thrive. Help your plants grow stronger and healthier with living soil.
All of our soils are compliant with the National Organics Program. Organic soils prevent and store carbon emissions. In contrast, synthetic fertilizers generate emissions and promote nutrient run-off.

The Bigger Picture
Our mother-company Rust Belt Riders, diverts around 3,500 TONS of food scraps from landfills each year. And we're just getting started!
We are a worker-owned cooperative that provides equitable pay, benefits, and work conditions for our entire team because we believe a happy and healthy planet starts with happy and healthy people.

Couldn't ask for better
This season we used Sprout to start all of our seedlings and the results speak for themselves. We do a lot of transplanting on our vegetable farm and couldn’t ask for a better product.

The soil is fantastic
The soil is fantastic. We haven’t changed anything about our garden except for the soil, and our plants are healthier, happier, and more fruitful. Service was friendly and knowledgeable.

Specifically sought out
We specifically sought out Wendell because of its superior reputation around town. I was blown away with not only how rich Wendell is but how balanced it is! I grew squash next to tomatoes and didn’t have to amend the soil any further to meet the needs of any given vegetable that I had planted.
